Grace is 17 months old. She can stand up by herself and jump on a trampoline but she can't walk! What is up with that?! I guess she will just march to the beat of a different drummer.

Corey

Corey had a Pinewood Derby race today with the Tiger Cubs. He and Pete have been working on this car very diligently. The car can't be over 5oz in weight. They also had to design and paint it. It is camoflauged with the number "8" on the roof. Corey was able to race his car 3 times and each time there are 3 cars racing. He placed 1st, 2nd, and 1st but unfortunately his times did not allow him to place overall. He was a little disappointed but we reminded him how much fun he had with is friends and he placed well during each of his 3 races. It was a good day for everyone too. Pete found his Pinewood Derby car from when he was a kid. He won 3rd overall and has even managed to find the trophy that he won. Corey said he will save his and Pete's and pass it on to his kids so they can add theirs. (That was his idea without any say so from us.)

Tyler

Tyler went to the state Capitol yesterday. He and 3 of his classmates gave presentations to the members of the legislature as they came by to visit. He met Mickey Channell, Johnny Grant, and several people from the State Board of Education. They were showing how the money that the state gave to approximately 15 schools was being used. Tyler's school is using it for an e-math program. It is very neat! We were thinking that the governor would come too but he didn't. They were also interviewed by Georgia Public Broadcast for their news. There is suppose to also be another interview on the website for GPB. The kids were exhausted by the end of the day.
Grace

Grace is becoming her own little person. She doesn't like her hands dirty. She loves music and especially the piano. She likes to dance and is starting to talk. If she doesn't like you telling her "no" to something, she will growl at you. It is very hard not to laugh at that. She will eat you out of house and home. She will put on her jewelry and will take a shirt and try to put it own. It usually ends up wrapped around her neck.
Grace likes wearing her sunglasses. I think it is part of the whole dress up thing. I was trying to clean out my refrigerator and when I turned around, these 2 had crawled in and were trying to make it their fort. Grace still loves bath time and she loves Corey's bathtime too. Corey and Grace will be partners in crime, I am afraid. And Grace loves the ride-on scooter that she got for Christmas from Aunt B and Uncle Ralph. We have already had to change the batteries in it.
