Mathfest 2008

Tyler and Corey participated in Mathfest 2008. They did this last year too. They did really well. We were there from 9am-7pm! We were exhausted! Corey did good and got through 2 math sheets before he was out of the competition. Tyler did very good as well. He started with 200-300 5th graders. He went out when there was only about 40-50 kids left. I think the boys especially liked that the convention floor was very slick concrete and they wore their Heeley's. They were skating everywhere. I didn't mind them skating everywhere, I just had one rule.... They were not going to the hospital when they broke something!!HaHa!

Princess Grace

Ahhhh......Princess Grace is holding court. She has really taken off with her walking since Easter. We will probably get her first haircut soon. She is talking very well for 18 months.

Easter

Oh, the fun we have at Easter! Easter egg hunting, playing with all of the kids, and flying kites! And, of course, remembering the Easter story.

Fancy Footwork

Grace can be so funny! I just enjoy watching her discover such simple things. I think we were getting her ready for a bath when this was taken.

Kids being kids!

Sorry it has been a while since my last post. We have all had "the Crud" and we have just been miserable. The kids got it for a short time. Pete and I seem to just be hosts for it. We just can't shake it. We have both been busy with work and all of the kids actvities. We are looking forward to Easter because we are both off for a change. If Grace would walk, she would have a great day Easter finding all those eggs!

Tyler will be going back to Mathfest. It is a math competition held in Atlanta. There will be thousands of kids there. He enjoyed it last year. Pete and Tyler will also be going to Jeykll Island with Ty's 5th grade class in May. Pete is going to have fun because he is one of the chaperones for this 3 day trip! Pray for his sanity and patience. I may have to check and make sure he doesn't try to take his Taser. HaHa!

Corey attended a Loop-A-Rama in Athens last weekend to earn loops for his Boy Scout belt. He participated in the BB's, archary, music, and art. He did very good with his shooting the BB's and archary. Tyler told me they practiced outside the day before. Corey, Tyler, and Pete also went to a motocross enduro here in the county the next day. They loved watching the riders going through the woods and getting muddy. They just wish that they had motorcycles.

Grace is just Antwine, good and bad. She has quite the attitude at times. She is very stubborn and will not walk. She enjoyed fingerpainting the other day and she found this green hat that she just loves putting on in the house. She will usually add some of her jewelry too. She saw a football game on tv the other day and said "football!". When the players would make a play she would go "Whoooo". She also got mad when I turned it. Now tell me that is not Antwine.
