Bedtime

Grace has become a huge fan of Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Barney. Tyler loved Barney and Corey loved the Wiggles.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame...

Corey is the #10 in royal blue. You'll also note the very stylish red/black cleats. This year he says he is interested in being the hindcatcher like Tyler.

Tyler is very serious this year. He loves being the hindcatcher but coach says he needs to work his arm more to get the ball more consistantly to 2nd base. Right now he is playing 2nd base.

Spring Fever!

Ahh...The monkeys are enjoying the wonderful weather lately. Spring fever is hitting us hard.

Have you ever wondered what Finch's do around the house?

Just be together!
We "torture" our children.

We learn about our pets.

Rodeo and Jubilee on the same weekend!

I took all of the kids to the Jubilee today. Pete had to work at the Jubilee. We only got to see him in passing because he was directing traffic in the center of town. Of course, EMS and the firetrucks were up there too. Tyler and Corey did the spider jump. Corey could do a lot of flips in the air. Corey also did the rock wall climb and made it to the top about 3 times. We ate lunch up in town and visited with everyone. Tyler ran off with his friends for a little while. Grace enjoyed the farm animals. She was a little shy but you could tell that she wanted them badly. Corey did the little kids tractor pull and was able to pull all of the weight. Grace liked sitting on the toy tractor. I think it reminded her of the new lawnmower that Daddy just bought. She likes it a lot too.

Grace on Daddy's new lawnmower. Tyler wants to earn extra money using it to mow the lawn. I think we'll wait until he's a little older to use it.

The rodeo is here this weekend and so is the Jubilee. So much to do! Pete, Tyler, and Corey went to the rodeo and had a blast! Grace and I were going but Grace fell asleep, as her bedtime is usually between 7pm-8pm. The rodeo starts at 8pm. Pete took some pictures for me. We have a new rodeo arena here and everyone was excited to go see it. Pete said that about 4 of the barrel racing horses fell because the ground was so soft. Corey and Tyler always participate in the "chasing the calf with the ribbon on its tail" game. They enjoy that alot!

Tyler and Corey now have glasses!

Corey was having a little trouble seeing the board in school. He had been sitting in the back of the class but due to him and his little buddy talking too much, he was moved to the front of the class. His work improved and we thought that was the main problem. Then he started complaining of trouble seeing the board. It was time for both of them to get their eyes checked anyways even though Tyler had no complaints. We were stunned to find out that both needed glasses. For Tyler, this has been devastating. He is wanting contacts bad! We will eventually get them. They are trying to wear them. I must say, though, that Corey is trying a little harder than Tyler. It's a look-thing for Tyler. He is also concerned how he will look with his glasses and his "flat-top" haircut that he will be getting next weekend.
